I got there just in time. Just in time to see the sun setting over the mostly frozen lake.
Sure, there were some clouds, but the yellow, orange, and red hues in the sky complimented the blueish/grey clouds.
Sure, the reflection of all of those colours on the partially melted lake looked pretty too.
It was also nice to see a patch of sand on the beach that wasn't covered in lots of snow.
My only issue on this lovely evening, was that I had to trudge through feet of snow to get to that patch of snow.
And I forgot to bring my boots.
My shoes are soaking wet and cold.
And I need to drive an hour and a half home.
Fun times, I tell ya. Fun times.
